Key Features and Design

Ténéré 700

The standard Ténéré 700 is built with Yamaha’s CP2 engine, a 689 cc parallel-twin engine known for its durability, reliability, and smooth power delivery. Producing around 72 horsepower and 50 lb-ft of torque, this engine provides ample power for both on-road and off-road journeys. With its compact design and low-end torque, the Ténéré 700 is as comfortable on city streets as it is on rugged trails, giving riders the best of both worlds.

The 2025 model includes several updates aimed at enhancing comfort and control. The ergonomics have been refined, including a new seat design for better long-distance comfort. A revised windscreen improves aerodynamics and reduces wind fatigue, making it a solid choice for long adventures. The Ténéré 700 also features a high-mount exhaust for improved ground clearance, which helps it excel in off-road scenarios.

Ténéré 700 Rally

The Ténéré 700 Rally is designed specifically for riders who want to push the boundaries of off-road riding. It shares the same CP2 engine but comes equipped with a range of features that make it even more capable on challenging trails. The Rally model includes upgraded suspension, with fully adjustable KYB forks that provide greater travel and improved handling over rough terrain. The rear suspension also benefits from a KYB shock with increased adjustability, giving riders a tailored experience to suit various riding conditions.

This model’s design has taken inspiration from Yamaha’s rally racing heritage, featuring a more aggressive look and specific enhancements such as a skid plate for engine protection, knobby tires for better traction, and rally-style graphics that pay homage to Yamaha’s Dakar history. Additional accessories, like handguards and an aluminum chain guard, add both durability and a rugged aesthetic.
