The final race of the 2010 Manx Grand Prix – the Senior Race – got away at 2.15pm on Friday, an hour after the scheduled start, following the delay at the beginning of the day caused by mist on the mountain.

Pedrosa MotoGP win marred by tragedy at Misano

Dani Pedrosa took his fourth win of the season in MotoGP at the Gran Premio Aperol di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, however there was a black cloud hanging over the whole Misano paddock after the tragic news of the death of Japanese rider Shoya Tomizawa in the preceding Moto2 race.

The Manx Motorcycle Club, organisers of the Manx Grand Prix, regret to announce the death of a second rider on Wednesday's Manx Grand Prix. Both riders were involved in a racing accident at Alpine Cottage on the second lap of the Junior race shortly before 11am. The race was later abandoned.

Ducati announce a two-year deal with Nicky Hayden

Ducati has announced a renewed contract with Nicky Hayden that will see the American rider stay with the Italian factory's MotoGP effort for a further two years. His signature completes a new look of the Ducati Marlboro Team line-up for 2011, which will see the 29-year-old line up alongside Valentino Rossi.
